We went rock climbing

Last weekend I went indoor rock climbing. Yep, I did.

It seemed like something fun that my boyfriend and I could try out together and I was a bit inspired by Anna’s weekly vlog from a few weeks ago, so I booked us in before I could change my mind.

We booked in for a taster session so we would be able to learn the very basics and just have a chance to actually get on the wall and have a go. Which we did. It was a lot of fun as well as a challenge. One tip, even if you’re not normally scared of heights: don’t look down! I was quite impressed with us both as we managed to get to the top of two of the walls (Mark obviously went first to set the standard...). It certainly felt like an all body workout using your legs, arms and core, and really wore me out more than I thought it would. My arms and shoulders really ached the next day!

So that’s that. Unfortunately we didn’t take any photos (so you don’t get the amusement of seeing me dangling from a rope) but I think we will be going back again at some point to learn some more of the basics and have another go. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something new to try out either on your own, with friends or as a couple. It’s one of those things that you don’t need to be amazing at in order to give it a go. And you might just find a new hobby.

Right, what can I have a go at next?
